It’s the week before my students graduate so it was a busy day at class and I’m struggling to concentrate and get my post written in a cohesive manner…
So please accept this silly video as a substitute. It is more fun pond footage along with the multi-toy game I mentioned last week… I love that I can watch the wheels turning in Rio’s head as he works it out. This is the first time I used these rules when playing outside and he was a little confused… but he figure it out eventually!

Too much fun! I love how you say this video is a quick substitute for a post. It would have taken me hours to put something like this together!
LOL–they do have lots of fun that’s for sure!! Ignoring upload/import times, it probably took me 20 minutes to make the video… which is WAY faster than writing… i probably spent 40 minutes trying, and failing, to write the post before giving up LOL!
LOVE it! Love watching Rio’s little gears turning, too. And I LOVE the look he gives you when he brings back just that first ball. Looks right at you, then down at the ball like “Uh, I don’t know what you’re waiting for lady. I brought you the ball. It’s right there. Oh my gosh do you SERIOUSLY not see it? It’s in front of your face!! Oh, wait … I left two more out there. Hold on.”
Jake did REALLY well with this, Duncan had no idea what was going on 😛 Unlike Rio, Jake will run, grab one toy, bring it back, wait a few seconds, run and grab another, etc. None of the wonderfully time-consuming “How do I get 3 balls in my mouth at the same time?” stuff. Unfortunately. But it’s still lots more fun than one toy over and over and over!
