Super Sale and Updates!
It’s been a busy few weeks here thanks to some lovely supporters taking advantage of our Super Sale! You guys have really put a dent in Shayne’s vet bills! It was very much appreciated!
I am still up to my elbows in orders so I am going to end the sale this Sunday . 8/11, at 5pm EST. So, if you want to get in on the action for fur-real tug toys, regular tug toys, kibble dispensing toys, or even our gift certificates, now is the time to do so!
Although the most expensive item in the store, I wanted to highlight the $100 Gift Certificates for a moment because they are a huge value. I do not have ‘sales’ on my training package pricing, this is your chance to get 10% off training lessons. Purchase the required number of gift certificates to cover the cost of the training package or number lessons you’d like and you’ll get a 10% discount (since the $100 gift certificates are on sale for $90). If you ever planned on having private training with SJC but the cost was a bit of a hurdle, this is great opportunity to get a bit of a discount.
WPHS Class Updates
I have a new round of Canine Enrichment Games starting 8/11 at WPHS that still has space (slight chance this may be pushed back a week to facilitate new enrollments)! This is a really fun class that I’ve gotten great feedback on from students. It’s a great way to try kibble dispensing toys and puzzle toys before you buy them–learn what your dog likes and what challenges them before spending money on a toy he doesn’t really like.
WPHS will be hosting B.A. level C.L.A.S.S. evaluations in about a month on a Wednesday evening. It is primarily open to our WPHS BA C.L.A.S.S. students but if we have open testing time spots, they are open to anyone who would like to get involved in the program! We also have two B.A. Level classes starting in early September–one on Wednesday evenings and one on Sunday afternoons. The C.L.A.S.S. program is a great program about continuing manners training to high levels of skill–it’s similar to CGC in that it involves testings the dog/handler team skills. C.L.A.S.S. dogs can earn their Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. degrees through successfully passing the test at each level.
SJC Updates
I recently passed the test to become a certified Canine Good Citizen Evaluator. So, if you are looking for someone to perform CGC evaluations for an event, or you would like to have your dog evaluated, you can contact me for information.
SJC also just committed to being at our favorite local doggie event, Dogtoberfest, which will be held on October 5th! This event is held by C.A.R.M.A.A. each year on the South Side. I will be doing a tricks demo again this year with Shayne and Rio (which is always fun and entertaining). I will also have an information booth and ‘mini-store- with me. I will have tug toys, fur real tug toys, kibble dispensing toys, kitty toys, and front hook harnesses for sale at our booth. We will give more information on this event as it gets closer.
Your enrichment games class sounds really interesting!
Do you just do food puzzles / toys, or do you do other (non-food) forms of enrichment as well?
Either way, it sounds like a cool idea for a class.
cheers,
Mary
