A seminar about how to evaluate a breeder or a rescue so you set yourself up for success with your new puppy!

When: Saturday January 11, 9:30am (expect this to be a longer seminar, probably 3ish hours)

Make puppy raising easier by being selective on where you get your pup from! Learn the benefits of getting a well matched puppy who has had a head start in life.

Learn how to effectively evaluate whether a breeder is ethical or a rescue is responsible. Learn what ethical breeders do with their litters to give them 8 weeks of head start before they even come into your home (many of these things are things that rescues could also implement to set their puppies up for more success!). What questions should you ask a breeder, how to evaluate their answers to make sure it’s not lip service.

Learn how to evaluate a rescue to work with one that is just as invested in setting their adopters up for success as they are focused on rescuing dogs. What are responsible rescues doing to set their puppies up for success (or what can they be doing)? How can you read between the lines of a puppy description or what should you be asking to get yourself set up with a well-matched puppy!

We offer a variety of Seminars and Workshops!

Seminars and Workshops are single-day (whole or half or a couple hours) or weekend-long learning opportunities. Seminars are more lecture/video heavy, but may offer working spots, while workshops involve more working time along with the lecture.

These learning opportunities, even for working options, are all about teaching the humans new skills, techniques, or concepts. We aim to provide understanding of these important topics or improve trainer mechanics when implementing them! They aren’t aimed at fixing a problem behavior at the event, but giving attendees new tools to address the problem or concern long term.

We will work with clubs, rescues, shelters, businesses and other organizations to host a seminar or workshop. Send us an email and we can discuss details and scheduling!
