Yesterday we met up with our friend from Got Spots blog and her younger dog, Doc for some training and fun. Doc has shown some limited reactivity so we worked on some BAT and LAT with Shayne and Rio as bait. Doc did lovely and seemed perfectly fine under the circumstances. Anyhow, after the work, we took the dogs for a nice walk through the woods and got to sit and hang out… Shayne did beautifully and only growled twice–one was just an overly arousing moment when Doc got too close (actually bumping into her) while being pet by some strangers and the other was totally justified when Rio and Doc were playing and Rio landed on Shayne. Rio and Doc were quick friends and had a good time playing and socializing!
All the dogs were really good together and seemed to be quick pals which is really nice, especially for Shayne who used to take quite some time to warm up to new dogs!
And… last but NOT least… because Rio is just THAT special… a SILLY photo of him….
Looks like a fun day! Is it wrong that I laughed out loud over that last picture?
It was a fun day… and I laughed out loud as I snapped the photo… it was hilarious!
very cute 🙂
Thanks! 🙂
Lol we laughed at him too. He had an itch maaa. 🙂
Yes, yes he did have an itch… and was just sooo discrete!
Sounds like a fun day!
Where in the world did you get those fantastic collars?! I love them!!
It was a good day! Shayne is wearing a 1.5″ custom embroidered collar from Lisa at http://www.collarmania.com, Rio is wearing a 2″ collar that I made him (one of a bunch that I’ve made for the dogs), and Doc is wearing a 2″ collar made by his mum who just started Spotless Design Collars (a small collar business).
Too much fun! Go Team Shayne!
I’ve never met up with another blogger before but I bet it would be such a good time. It’s great that everyone managed to get along so well. 🙂
It was really fun and I was super excited about how well Shayne did AND how much fun Rio had with Doc!
Monica and I have met up once before (before I started blogging)… so while we are two bloggers who met up… we were friends before that 🙂
What a fun day! Looove the collars. The last photo had me in stitches!
